Claremont Bitcoin Club was founded in Spring 2025 to create an open, student-led space for exploring Bitcoin across the Claremont Colleges, and in our first semester, over 100 students joined. Our initial focus centered on education and research, culminating in the launch of a student research initiative in Fall 2025 in partnership with Claremont McKenna's Financial Economics Institute.

As CBC has grown, so has our mission. While education remains core, we are now shifting toward a more pre-professional model focused on building real-world experience, peer collaboration, and industry engagement. At the same time, we are building the infrastructure and mentorship needed to expand our research program in the future. True to Bitcoin’s open nature, CBC is open to all students across the 5Cs. Our story is one of iteration and growth, shaped by a community committed to learning, building, and creating opportunities together.
